SIEGE 2009

Speakers, sponsors and volunteers invited for October event in Atlanta.

ATLANTA (June 11, 2009) - The Southern Interactive Entertainment and Game Expo (SIEGE) 2009 has announced the call for speakers, sponsors and volunteers for the October 2-4, 2009 event in Atlanta. The third annual conference will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel - Atlanta Perimeter NW.

Attendees can look forward to a packed program consisting of up to three keynotes, 60 sessions and 15 social events and parties filling a single three-day weekend. Industry professionals can attend all panels, multiple networking events and the career expo for only $65.

As the Southeast's leading gaming and interactive conference, SIEGE brings together students and professionals from across the region to celebrate the world of gaming. Along with a job fair and three days of keynote addresses, panels, workshops and tournaments, SIEGE 2009 will explore the connective power of games – through art, technology, and business. In past conferences, SIEGE has featured leading figures from a wide spectrum of the industry, including artists, programmers, designers, writers, teachers and business executives. Other speakers have included government figures, experts on computer game violence and social issues, to offer attendees a comprehensive view of the interactive entertainment industry.

Members of the Georgia Game Developers Association (GGDA) have been working diligently since February to plan this year's event. GGDA is a non-profit trade association of businesses and professionals of the video and electronic game manufacturing industry of Georgia. GGDA is committed to the growth and development of this industry and the success of its members as they compete internationally.
