Side Joins TIGA

Side provides creative production services and facilities to the video game, film and broadcast industries. The company specialises in casting actors for voice, facial likeness and full performance capture, as well as directing, including voice directing, motion capture and full performance directing. Side also operates an agency division called ‘Sidelines’ that represents creative writers for video games.

Side has worked for some of the biggest names in the business, last year working on 5 of the top 20 best selling games in the UK. Currently the team is working on some of the most anticipated titles of the year including Fable III, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, APB and Brink. The company won best creative outsourcing company at the Develop Industry Excellence Awards in 2006 and 2009.

Andy Emery, Creative Director at Side explains the company’s reasons for joining TIGA: “Last year a large percentage of our work came from outside the UK and like UK developers we are concerned about the brain drain to overseas territories who receive more government support in the form of tax relief and subsidies. Therefore we strongly support TIGA’s campaign to achieve Games Tax Relief for the UK development industry. We also hope to network with other TIGA members and continue to increase our profile among the development community.”
