Redesigned from the foundation on up, the new site not only makes product browsing and information gathering a snap it also provides fans with a full suite of community options for the total digital social experience.
From a community standpoint we've added a great many new features that should thrill both old fans and new fans discovering any of our amazing titles like Dominions 3: The Awakening, Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space, winSPWW2, or Air Assault Task Force for the first time. Some of these new community features include:
Social Groups. Create your own social group and rule it with an iron hand! Besides finding like-minded folks this tool is perfect for handling multi-player gaming groups. Create a game group and easily trade tips, taunts, and tactics without the need of going back and forth in a forum thread. Picture Albums. Want to share a cool screenshot or just a pic of your ultimate gaming rig? Picture albums allow users to upload images, making them available for others to view at their leisure. Company Blog. This has been integrated into the new forum software, making reading the blog an easy one-stop affair when visiting the forum. Users can also subscribe by creator. Improved Arcade. Play classic games directly in your browser. The new forum can handle tournaments, and players with the highest score in each game have this noted next to their avatars for easy bragging rights. Expect more games as time goes on. Show Your Appreciation. Users can now thank other users for well crafted, or simply entertaining, posts and also provide reputation points. Earn enough rep points and win a brand new Ferrari! Oh wait, sorry, no Ferrari. Just a sense of accomplishment, and really with today's high gas prices and the poor mileage a Ferrari gets isn't that better?Shrapnel Games is dedicated to expanding features for the community, so expect to see many more features implemented in the future. Besides the new community aspects of the improved Shrapnel Games website you'll also find that the rest of the site has been revised with the same goal as the community change: allowing the best possible fan experience. For example, no longer will you need to click through several pages for each product. Now, every game has a single page which hosts all the information one needs. Descriptions, system requirements, demos, patches, reviews, and more, it's all there at your fingertips in one spot! Likewise, we think you'll find the front page to be all inclusive and easy to navigate.
