Shadow The Hedgehog Website Goes Live

SAN FRANCISCO October 7, 2005 -- SEGA of America's Shadow the Hedgehog has set up headquarters online at www.sega.com/shadow to prepare for the ultimate choice he will be forced to make when his breakout action-game hits store shelves November 15, 2005.

On the new website, fans will get a taste for the game's good-versus-evil mission system and how any number of routes can unveil the secrets of the mysterious hedgehog's past to help determine his future. Gamers will be given inside information about the impact their actions will have on Shadow's true identity and see what strange environments their choices might lead them to.

Fans can also use the site to study up on the background of Shadow's quest and the various characters he might meet along the way -- from Black Doom, the ruler of the Black Arms army, to the rigid G.U.N. Federation Commander, the notorious Dr. Eggman, and a variety of friendly faces like Sonic, Knuckles, and Rouge.

The site includes a number of features:

  • Classified data including:

- Arsenal of weapons

- Vehicles

- Power moves never before available in the Sonic series

  • Media bunker where gamers can get a sneak peek at movies and screenshots, play the mini-game, or download wallpapers and screensavers for their PC

Since his debut in Sonic AdventureTM 2 (2001), Shadow the Hedgehog has appeared in Sonic Adventure 2TM: Battle (2002), Sonic HeroesTM (2003), and the massively popular Sonic XTM animated series. SEGA will release Shadow the HedgehogTM on all current generation console platforms on November 15, 2005. For screenshots and artwork, visit the SEGA FTP site at: http://segapr.segaamerica.com.
