TIGA's Colin Anderson to meet the Scottish Affairs Committee today at the University of Abertay.

TIGA, the trade association representing the UK games industry, will today meet members of the House of Commons Scottish Affairs Committee at the University of Abertay Dundee, an international centre of excellence for video games education. Colin Anderson, TIGA board member and MD of Denki, will be meeting the members of the Committee at the University.

Commenting on the meeting, Colin Anderson said: “It’s excellent that the Scottish Affairs Committee are coming to see the world class facilities we have in Dundee at the University of Abertay, and also to learn more about Scotland’s video games sector. TIGA has been campaigning consistently to raise awareness of the challenges facing the video games industry and this visit is a testament to the fact that politicians and policy makers are taking these concerns seriously.

“I am looking forward to discussing TIGA’s Games Tax Relief proposal with members of the Committee and highlighting the fact that the Scottish and wider UK video games industry are currently competing on an uneven playing field. We need Games Tax Relief to ensure the industry continues to fulfil its potential.”
