Windows Phone 7 now supported by SDK.

MUNICH, GERMANY; SAN FRANCISCO, USA – February 17, 2011 - Scoreloop, the no.1 cross-platform, social gaming ecosystem on mobile, today announced the beta launch of its Windows Phone 7 SDK, allowing developers for the first time to enable cross platform social gaming with Microsoft’s latest mobile OS. The SDK offers developers the social gaming capabilities which Scoreloop already makes available to Android, Bada, Airplay and iOS developers, making Scoreloop the most extensive mobile social gaming ecosystem. Early access will be granted to a limited number of developers before the SDK is made public and extending the reach of Scoreloop to millions of new devices.

The Scoreloop SDK provides developers with everything they need to add social elements to any game. From developers to brands, operators and OEMs, Scoreloop’s social gaming platform and SDK creates instant communities and connections, and new ways to generate revenues from mobile games, with the ability to add in-game purchasing, virtual currencies and in-app promotions. For developers looking to maximize visibility of their games, Scoreloop adds reach to a new audience through a user base growing at over one new million players a week.

“Windows Phone 7 is an important step in our goal to encourage and support connected gaming across the entire mobile landscape. As the first cross-platform social gaming ecosystem to add support for Windows Phone 7 this means we can offer the largest reach, greater revenue potential and increase the impact of developers using the Scoreloop SDK,” said Marc Gumpinger, Scoreloop CEO.

Game developers familiar with Scoreloop on other platforms are able to easily extend the same in-game social features into Windows Phone 7, making it simple to let game players compete and compare cross-platform. For existing Windows Phone 7 developers Scoreloop offers comprehensive support from the moment they download the SDK through the whole development cycle to launch and beyond.

For early access to the Scoreloop Windows Phone 7 SDK, developers are invited to email wp7@scoreloop.com"> wp7@scoreloop.com.  Invitations will be sent out for the free WP7 SDK to a first wave of developers and rolled out to everyone in ensuing weeks.  Developers working with the SDK will have direct access to the Scoreloop developer relations team for feedback and support.
