SCEE Sounds Out at Game City - Sessions Sold Out!

12th October 2006. Nottingham, UK . The acclaimed audio department from Sony Computer Entertainment's London and Cambridge Studios sessions at the forthcoming GameCity completely has sold out two weeks before the event.

The team will be presenting an afternoon of hands-on workshops and seminars in an exciting partnership with GameCity and Confetti Studios.

Alistair Lindsay, Dan Bardino, Sergio Pimental and Garry Taylor will deliver specialist workshops for budding game music producers and composers as well as entertaining sessions for the public. Dialogue, Licensing and PLAYSTATION® 3 audio are amongst the topics to be covered - providing a unique insight into the amazing creativity housed at Sony Computer Entertainment's internal development studios.

Dave Ranyard, Creative Services Manager at SCE London and Cambridge Studios commented, "This is a great opportunity to really highlight the role of audio within games in a uniquely accessible event. We're delighted that the event has proven so popular - I think it underlines the increasing awareness and interest in music and games."

Craig Chettle, MD of Confetti added, "The guys at SCEE are fantastic artists and GameCity is a fantastic concept. This is a perfect opportunity to explore the scope and potential of everything that 21st century gaming has to offer. It can't fail to excite, inform and entertain everyone who gets involved and as such we're proud to be a part of it."

Confetti and GameCity has also produced a limited edition CD featuring all the music from the event - only 1,000 copies will ever be pressed. Copies will be available at the audio events and in competitions from the best gaming websites.

GameCity is hosting a number of other music events during the festival, including live sets from Driver: Parallel Lines band 'Narco' in a city-centre club and SEGA legend Richard Jacques in a 14th Century Church. You can be sure that GameCity will sound amazing.
