Saitek Expressions range

Not game-related, perhaps, but playful at least.

San Diego, California, August 7th, 2008

Mad Catz Interactive, Inc. (“Mad Catz” or “the Company”) (AMEX/TSX: MCZ), a leading third-party interactive entertainment accessory provider, announced today that its Saitek brand label is launching ‘Expressions’, an exciting range of lifestyle themed PC accessories designed to combine quality engineering with unique and original style.

With six striking designs planned for the range, each exclusive Expressions theme has been styled to appeal to a wide age group and demographic and includes a broad selection of accessories such as a PC Keyboard, Mouse and Mouse Pad, USB Speakers, USB Hub, Webcam and Voice Headset.

Recognized innovators in the PC accessory market, Saitek continues to enjoy success with its range of eye-catching colored PC products, expanding the appeal of PC accessories beyond the typical office environment by creating a new niche for accessories differentiated by aesthetics. Designed to build upon this success, the Expressions range is the result of extensive consumer research, mirroring trends in the world of fashion and offering ‘style with a twist’ by promoting individuality rather than simple color variations.

Darren Richardson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mad Catz commented, “Our range of colored PC input accessories has thus far proven successful for Saitek and we’re keen to further innovate in this fast evolving sector. We believe that the new range of Expressions accessories shows that well made advanced peripherals need not be dull. Our research suggests that there is a growing number of fashion conscious consumers who demand fun as well as function from their accessories. We believe that the Expressions range satisfies this growing demand and look forward to introducing consumers everywhere to the eclectic new range.”

Three Expressions designs: Eternity, Rock Chick and Pink Butterfly are expected to ship this fall with the remaining designs expected to ship later in the year and throughout 2009.
