Russian Mobile Game Developer G5 Holdings Attracts Scandinavian Investors
In March 2005 EMCapital assisted a group of Scandinavian VC investors to acquire a stake in G5 Holdings. G5 Holdings consolidates G5 Mobile and G5 Software companies, the former being mobile games developer and the latter is developing games for PC. The investors took interest in both mobile and PC game units. The deal expects to add more structured approach to the company's growth and expand its client base in selected European markets.
Vlad Suglobov, CEO of G5 Holdings, comments on the deal: "2005 was the fifth year of G5's stable growth, and it became the most successful in company's history. We released several games for PC and mobile platforms and entered into cooperation with well-known publishers. It was not surprising that in 2005 a number of potential buyers approached us. We have chosen the deal with EMCapital Limited because they offered optimal conditions and the strategy for further development of the company, which perfectly fit shareholder interests and vision of the management".
