Paris, 11th December 2008 – Jagex ltd, the UK's largest independent game developer, today announced the launch of RuneScape.fr, a fully localised French version of RuneScape, one of the world’s most popular browser MMORPG's.

“After seven years RuneScape is more popular than ever and we are extremely pleased to launch the game in a third language, following the successful launch of the German game last year” said Geoff Iddison, CEO Jagex Ltd.

RuneScape is the massively-multiplayer online game, set in a fantasy world of warring races, ravaged landscapes and sinister powers.

The game is updated every two weeks with new content, quests, skills or adventures – meaning new challenges and surprises whenever players log on. The game currently has more than 6 million players including over 1 million paying subscribers.
