RocketBoy soars onto mobile

OrangePixel jump on the one-thumb gaming bandwagon

Adding to the latest batch of quick-fire one-thumb/one-touch mobile games, developer OrangePixel has announced the launch of its newest title, RocketBoy.

Starring a newly created hero, which the company hopes to feature in additional games in the future, RocketBoy promises a more action-packed adventure than traditional one-button games, challenging players to control the thrust of RocketBoy's jet-powered rocket boots.

Pressing the number five button on the keypad will activate the thrusters, with longer depressions causing an increased boost. However, the challenge is not to soar through the skies, but to carefully negotiate your descent into a perilous chasm, trying to avoid laser beams, pinball bouncers, flying and swooping enemies and more.

Offering colourful graphics and an increasingly difficult challenge, the game utilises OrangePixels's Rumblex.com gamers network to keep track of daily, weekly and all-time high scores for would-be rocket-based heroes.

Available via the Rumblex.com gaming network, RocketBoy will also be distributed to various operators, portals and WAP sites around the world.

Founded in 2004, OrangePixel operates a fast mobile game development cycle, creating between ten and twelve new titles per year. With a growing network of global distribution partners, and the operation of its Rumblex.com gaming network, the company's portfolio of quick-fire mobile games are currently available for mobile gamers worldwide.
