ROCK DJS: RADIO SHOW LAUNCHES GUITAR HERO™ PODCAST

'One Life Left' to count down to Guitar Hero II™ release with weekly podcasts

Friday 3rd November/... As the nation counts down until the release of Guitar Hero II on November 24th 2006, independent radio show 'One Life Left' is filling the gap with four podcasts focused on Guitar Hero. Guitar Hero II is the highly anticipated rock 'n roll videogame title published by RedOctane®, a leading rhythm-action videogame publisher, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI).

Four special podcasts - available through iTunes or at onelifeleft.libsyn.com - will be released every Friday, with the first one available now. The RSS feed for the podcasts is at http://onelifeleft.libsyn.com/rss, or search for One Life Left in iTunes.

One Life Left is a weekly radio show about video games, broadcast on Resonance. Season 2 begins at 8:00pm on Monday 27th November. The hour-long show is intended for everyone, secret nerd and righteous geek alike - and it takes gaming as seriously as gaming deserves to be taken. Which is: it is meant to be fun.

The first podcast - which can be played on any MP3 player - sees regular presenter Robert Howells duet with newsreader Ann Scantlebury in a performance they will never forget. Along the way, we discover a rude anagram, learn some trivia about one of the most famous rifts ever written, and get a bit confused by Sheryl Crow.

These special One Life Left Guitar Hero Podcasts come complete with re-recorded theme tunes and idents, taking the typical One Life Left experience, and completely rocking it up.

"We're huge fans of the original game," says Ste Curran, presenter of One Life Left. "Which is why we came up with the excuse of doing a podcast every week - just so we'd be able to get our hands on Guitar Hero II early. The first one shows a shape of things to come - and we're looking forward to keeping the original game's fans entertained through until launch day."

The One Life Left podcasts are written and recorded by Ste Curran, Robert Howells and Ann Scantlebury and produced by Simon Parkin.

New Guitar Hero podcasts will be released every Friday through until the game's launch on November 24th 2006.
