Miley Cyrus to make downloadable debut next week.

Cambridge, Mass. – June 18, 2010 – Harmonix and MTV Games today announced that pop star Miley Cyrus will make her Rock Band debut June 22, the date her newest album hits shelves, with five songs in the Rock Band Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360 ® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation ® 3 computer entertainment system and Wii TM .

"I'm excited fans will be able to download and play five of my songs in Rock Band,” said Miley Cyrus. “I love that people can rock out with me and play my new song ‘Can’t Be Tamed’ on the same day my album comes out!”

Can’t Be Tamed, Miley’s third studio album, will be released June 22 and features the hit single of the same name. Five songs from Miley, including “Can’t Be Tamed,” will be released for Rock Band play day-and-date with the album release.

With more than 400 artists, including Jimi Hendrix, The Who, AC/DC and Green Day, who are exclusive to Rock Band, as well as more than 1,500 songs available through the Rock Band platform and 68 million songs sold through its download store alone, Rock Band is the undisputed sales and content leader in the interactive music space, providing the deepest and best selection of artists, songs and albums.

Rock Band DLC additions for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 system and Wii

American singer, songwriter and actress Miley Cyrus has been a tour de force in the pop world over the past five years. She has won five Kids’ Choice Awards, a MTV Movie Awards, a People’s Choice Award and a whopping nine Teen Choice Awards. Her first two albums, Meet Miley Cyrus and Breakout, both debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, her EP The Time of Our Lives debuted at No. 2, and she has sold more than 15 million albums worldwide.

Next week’s downloadable content selection will feature five of Miley’s fan favorites, including “Can’t Be Tamed” from her new album of the same name, “7 Things” and “Fly On the Wall” from 2008’s Breakout, as well as “See You Again” and “Start All Over” from her 2007 debut, Meet Miley Cyrus.

Available on Xbox 360 ® , Wii and PlayStation 3 system (June 22):

These tracks will be available as individual tracks on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 system and Wii. Songs marked with “+” will also be available in the family-friendly LEGO ® Rock Band Music Store.

Rock Band 2 is available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 system, PlayStation ® 2 computer entertainment system and Wii system. Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 system and Wii versions support downloadable content.

Downloadable content for Wii is purchased via the in-game Rock Band Music Storeusing Wii Points TM purchased through the Wii TM Shop Channel and can be downloaded to the system memory or to an SD card for additional storage. The tracks stream directly from the SD card for seamless play.

With these additions, there are now 1,523 tracks available to date via disc and download purchase (complete list of tracks at www.rockband.com/music). Rock Band continues to satisfy music fans’ and gamers' voracious appetite for rock with more than 68 million paid downloads since its launch Nov. 20, 2007. The Rock Band Music Store allows players to preview and purchase downloadable individual music tracks and packs from the vast selection of offerings available to date without ever leaving the game as they build their own custom Rock Band library.

Rock Band and Rock Band 2 are rated "T" for Teen (lyrics, suggestive themes) by the ESRB. Music downloads are not rated by the ESRB.
