Robotube teams up with Getty Images

For new PictoMatch game

Robotube Games has signed an agreement with visual content distributor Getty Images to create a new game for mobile phones.

Titled PictoMatch, it's based on classic card memory games, and tasks players with remembering pictures and matching them up. There will be image packs with themes such as wild animals and house pets, and players will score points for each positive match. The game will be distributed by US carrier Cingular Wireless.

"The creative energies on both sides resulted in a very appropriate eye-appealing, skill game that is fun for the consumer," said Robotube's Jason Cirillo.

"PictoMatch is a great example of a company at the forefront of a tremendous medium."

Getty's Brooks McMahon added: "PictoMatch offers users a great experience while opening new revenue streams for our company."

PictoMatch is out now.
