Ritual Entertainment Signs Source Code

Integrates AGEIA’s NovodeX physics software into internal technology and future titles

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - May 18, 2005 - At the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), AGEIATM Technologies, Inc., the pioneer in hardware-accelerated physics for games, today announced that Ritual EntertainmentTM has signed a source code license agreement with AGEIA. Developers at Ritual plan to integrate AGEIA technologies, such as AGEIA's NovodeX physics software, into their own core technology. Game titles using this technology will deliver dynamic physics-based action, effects and environments, which in turn can be dramatically enhanced by platforms equipped with AGEIA's PhysX processor.

Ritual's proprietary technology enhances underlying game engines, and has been licensed for use by other well-known studios for both released and upcoming AAA titles, including American McGee's AliceTM, Medal of Honor: Allied AssaultTM and 007TM Agent Under FireTM.

"Ritual's programmers are excited to get their hands on the source code for AGEIA's powerful NovodeX physics software," said Steve Nix, CEO of Ritual Entertainment.

"It's very encouraging to see AGEIA physics technology embraced by such creative and groundbreaking development teams as 'The Tribe' at Ritual Entertainment," said Andy Keane, vice president of marketing for AGEIA. "Their charisma and unique workflow model is an inspiration to the AGEIA team, and their support validates our belief that AGEIA's PhysX hardware and software is the wave of the future in the game industry."

AGEIA will be demonstrating games using AGEIA PhysX technology at E3. (By appointment only, Kentia Hall, booth #7532.)

About AGEIA

AGEIATM Technologies, Inc. is a fabless semiconductor company and the pioneer of hardware-accelerated physics for games. Its flagship product, the PhysX processor, is the world's first dedicated physics processing unit - a completely new hardware category. The PhysX processor and supporting software deliver the processing horsepower to calculate real-time interactive worlds. Developers can define these worlds to obey the laws of classical physics, or create their own physical laws that make their game a unique, hyper-dimensional experience.

AGEIA seeks to ignite innovation in the games industry by working with leading developers, publishers, add-in board vendors and console manufacturers to deliver the next generation of physically immersive entertainment. Consumer add-in boards and systems equipped with the AGEIA PhysX processor and games that take advantage of the technology will be available in late 2005. For more information visit www.ageia.com.
