QTOUR ANNOUNCE DANISH 1on1 CHAMPIONSHIP
INTEL, Samsung, Sennheiser, Logitech, Spilarenaen.dk and Electronic Arts are proud to present the QTOUR Championship Denmark at SLAP LIVE in Tappehallerne between the 18th -21st of October. The best counter-strike players in Denmark will compete on the legendary 1vs1 QTOUR stage, visited by some of the best gamers in the world. QTOUR Championship has named the best aimer in Norway, Finland and Sweden in 2007. Now the time has come for Denmark.
It can happen again!
QTOUR Championship Denmark will host some of the best and most well known Counter-Strike players from Denmark. Now it's your chance to play against the best! Many are those who went to the finals from the pre-qualification rounds and crushed everything on their way! It can be you! Pre-qualification will start on Friday the 19th of October. The two best players from the pre-qualification will go to the finals on Saturday the 20th October.
QTOUR announce the first invited star players!
The first player needs no introduction for people familiar with the big Counter-Strike scene as he has been a dominating factor both nationally and internationally playing for such great teams as The-Titans, SK-Gaming, GateKeepers, Edge, Level, Dignitas, All The Rage and now playing for Copenhagen Esports. In his career he peaked and claimed the gold medal of the Electronic Sports World Cup [ESWC] in 2004 with The-Titans. Now he is back to dominate once again. The person is no other than Richard "Drally" Halgaard.
The second player
A living legend in the Counter-Strike community, synonym with one of the oldest existing clans in Denmark, [SoA] Spirit of Amiga which he founded in 1999. The team was one of the most successful clans in the world at that time and he has participated in nine CPL events starting with CPL Cologne in 2000 to the CPL Europe in Cannes 2003. The person doing this comeback is no other than Jack "CrashJack" Nielsen
The third player
Has been one of the best upcoming gamers this year. Ranked 5th on the Danish all-round rankings and playing for teams such as Evermore, SoA and Mirror. He won silver medal at ESWC 2007, gold medal in EuroCup XV and most recently silver medal at the World Cyber Games in Seattle with Team NoA. The person is Christoffer "Sunde" Sunde.
The fourth player
He is considered to be one of Denmark's best active aimers. He has played for teams such as Boomtown, NS-Gaming, SoA and FigthClub. He has won SLKS#9, SLKS#12 and ESWC Danish qualifier in 2006 with SoA and came second in Eurocup 2006. This gamer is a great all-round-player and aimer. Ranked 6th in the Danish all-round ranking. The person is Tim "ArcadioN" Henriksen.
QTOUR Championship format!
We will use the same tournament structure as we did in Norway, Finland and Sweden.
14 players will be invited from the country where the QTOUR Championship is held and a pre- qualifies will resolve into the 16 players for the final tournament. The 16 players will play in a single elimination bracket best out of 3 rounds and first to 20 wins the round, with a 2 points difference. Players are allowed to use their own keyboard, mouse and mouse pad.
SLAP LIVE!
The QTOUR Championship Denmark will take place at the SLAP LIVE LAN party in Hellerup just outside Copenhagen between 18th to 21st October. Signups to the pre-qualification rounds will be open from 12:00 on the 19th of October. The finals will be played from 12:00 on the 20th of October on the QTOUR Championship main stage. Signups to the pre-qualify are happily received at our desk during Friday the 19th of October! Who is the best individual aimer in Denmark 2007? Stay tuned... That's what we are going to find out!
