Press Release: Hands-On Mobile Casts another Spell with The Witcher: Crimson Trail

Mobile game to build on huge popularity of best-selling book and forthcoming fantasy role playing PC game

LONDON, UK-OCTOBER 25, 2007-Hands-On Mobile, the world's leading developer of connected games and applications, has signed a deal with Breakpoint Games Sp z.o.o to distribute The Witcher: Crimson Trail, the mobile version of the eagerly anticipated fantasy role-playing PC game The Witcher from Polish developer CD Projekt and publisher Atari. Under the terms of the deal, Hands-On Mobile will distribute the game throughout Western Europe, Latin America and Asia-Pacific.

The Witcher: Crimson Trail is a fantasy role-playing game that throws players into a unique world rife with political intrigue, in which the lines between good and evil are blurred. Players take on the role of Geralt, a legendary monster slayer and master swordfighter with supernatural abilities and reflexes. With a wide range of spells and weapons at his disposal, Geralt must fight his way through hordes of creatures over 12 levels in order to prove himself worthy as a bearer of the title 'Witcher'.

The Witcher is based on the book series of the same name by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski. First published in 1986, The Witcher has sold 3 million copies worldwide and has established a huge, loyal fan base. The PC version of the game is the biggest production in the history of the Polish game industry and is due to launch in October this year.

"The Witcher is a highly anticipated PC game launch and we are very excited to be delivering the mobile version to a global audience," said Eric Hobson, President and General Manager EMEA, Hands-On Mobile. "The Witcher has an amazing history and a pedigree in the RPG genre which will mean that we will be delivering a premium product to an enthusiastic fan base."

Ludwik Zoltowski, Director of Business Development at Breakpoint said: "Just like the forthcoming PC version, the mobile game has been created for the passionate and dedicated fans of the books that the games are based upon. This has led to us to create a game that brings the look and feel of The Witcher onto mobile phones, for both dedicated fans and new players alike."
