GAMER TV STEPS UP TO PEAK TIME

London 19th September 2005: Following the success of the Gamer TV show over the past two years, cable and satellite broadcaster Bravo has commissioned 12 special presenter-led episodes of the series to air in peak time in the all-important run up to Christmas.

Sam Delaney, long time Gamer TV narrator and Guardian and Channel 5 journalist, will host the new episodes, entitled "Gamer TV: Next Gen".

Next Gen will feature the same lively mix of reviews, previews, news and features viewers have come to expect from Gamer TV but with added personality and a host of big prize competitions.

As well as a new weekday timeslot of 18.30, Gamer TV: Next Gen will also get a weekend airing, giving viewers a second chance to watch new episodes.

"It's only fitting that as games take the step up to the next generation, so does the UK's favourite TV show about games. The new timeslot and weekend repeats will mean a new audience can enjoy the show and that can only be a good thing for us and the industry.

Marc Cieslak will produce the new episodes as well as continuing to produce Gamer TV for international distribution.

Gamer TV has been airing weekdays every week on Bravo since March 2004.
