Publisher Frogster puts Info-Arena for Fans and Community online

Berlin, 2007-06-01: As the central communications platform for their dynamic actionsports title, Frogster Interactive and their partners Kylotonn and The Bitmap Brothers launch Speedball2.com. In the design of a futuristic game arena players get access to up-to-date game-information, news messages, downloads and a discussion board. Via the URL www.speedball2.com the complete portal is available in English, German and French language versions.

The Berlin based publisher has concealed a special gimmick for gaming enthusiast on the new portal. Those who discover the hidden reminiscence to the computergames classic Speedball 2 from the early nineties can take part in an exclusive raffle. The jackpot contains the Creative Soundsystem P380, a gaming backpack from Alienware as well as a Speedball 2 jersey out of a strictly limited edition.

Large-scale Community-Platform for fans

By launching a gaming-blog within the next few weeks, Frogster is going to expand the Speedball-2-Arena furthermore. In 2326, rival gangs form an ultra-violent streetsports league to settle their deadly disputes called Speedball 2. Two teams face each other in bloody battles for a steel ball. Nine on nine - in an all-out rush on the opponents' goal. Almost any malicious move is permitted. The winner of the matches secures supremacy over the city.

In the third quarter of 2007, Frogster Interactive is set to publish Speedball 2 as the longed-for sequel to the Amiga classic. The new release for the PC platform transforms the futuristic game setting with state-of-the-art technology into a high-speed online sports spectacle. Offering international leagues, a worldwide ranking system and a virtual marketplace, Speedball 2 pulls all registers of modern multiplayer gaming action. A wide range of fully customisable male, female and cyborg characters, dynamic sports battles, and continuous community support will convince sports simulation enthusiasts, action fans, and e-sports cracks likewise.

For the production of Speedball 2, developer Kylotonn has assembled a fresh team of experienced game designers and programmers. With photo-realistic 3D models, breathtaking animations and futuristic arenas for Speedball 2, the French developer team, already renowned for the "Bet on Soldier" trilogy, heads for a stunning comeback. As eminent advisor and lead producer, Mike Montgomery will supervise all steps in the development of Speedball 2. Since 1987, when he founded The Bitmap Brothers, he has been behind the legendary original as well as classics like Xenon Megablast, The Chaos Engine, Gods, Cadaver, Magic Pockets and Z.
