Pony Parade
No fewer than 14 new horse-related games to launch over the next four weeks on GirlsgoGames.
HILVERSUM, THE NETHERLANDS — 9 November 2010 — SPIL GAMES, the worldwide leader in online gaming websites, has today announced a month-long ‘Pony Parade’ festival of games designed to celebrate one of the most popular genres of games on the GirlsgoGames websites: horse games.
Pony Parade will run from 8th November to 5th December and will see the launch of 14 new horse games, including a sequel to one of SPIL GAMES’ most popular titles.
The GirlsgoGames websites are the only casual gaming sites for girls that allow their players to do more than just play. With a host of fully customisable content available throughout the sites and their games, it’s a breeding ground for creativity and expression, allowing users to collect, personalise and share in-game creations and achievements. And Pony Parade will offer all of these fun features through a month of themed releases.
One of this month’s high-profile releases will be ‘Horse Eventing 2’, the sequel to the most successful horse game from the SPIL GAMES stables, which has been played over 60 million times worldwide.
‘My Pony Park’ and ‘Pony Adventure’—also released during Pony Parade—will break new ground in casual gaming, offering players countless opportunities to create and customise almost every aspect of their gameplay, and share their creations with friends in virtual albums.
In ‘My Pony Park,’ girls can design an entire park—personalising everything—as they populate their creations with ponies, horses and even unicorns. ‘Pony Adventure’ is part exploration and part racing, where players hunt for accessories and respond to challenges—again focusing on a social sharing side that allows players to create albums of their favourite creations.
“We know our visitors love horse games, so we wanted to make a true event out of our batch of new releases to thank them for playing,“ said Peter Driessen, CEO of SPIL GAMES. “We also see it as an opportunity to acquaint more fans with the social features we’re introducing to our games, which we believe are ground-breaking for the casual gaming sector. Since the release of our in-game creations alone, there have been more than 1,000 creations uploaded per hour on GirlsGoGames—and we expect that to grow when we tie these new features to the Pony Parade titles.”
