PlayPhone signs for classic Taito titles
Nine games including Space Invaders on offer
Californian mobile specialist PlayPhone has inked a deal with Taito allowing consumers to download classic arcade games to their handsets.
There are nine titles currently available including Space Invaders, Arkanoid, Bubble Bobble, Chase HQ and Bust-A-Move.
"For those of us who grew up with games like Space Invaders, making these classics available for mobile devices is the perfect way to get to play these games without being tied to a console or arcade machine," commented Ron Czerny, CEO of PlayPhone.
"Simple gameplay and one or two button controls work so nicely on the mobile platform, serving to satisfy the old school player and introduce a whole new generation to Taito's timeless game catalogue," he said.
