Player X invites mobile games to Beat The Intro

Mobile music quiz show to launch across Europe this month

Content publisher Player X is set to launch a new mobile music quiz game across the UK and Europe by the end of this month, with Beat The Intro uniquely featuring a wide selection of polyphonic clips and lyrics from over 50 years of music.

The game, which follows in the footsteps of titles such as Name That Tune in the North American market, is based on the Beat The Intro interactive DVD game - which was second only to Who Wants To Be A Millionaire in sales last Christmas.

"This form of mobile gameplay is very popular with customers and we're convinced operators will love it because of its longevity potential," commented Player X CEO Tony Pearce.

"We're looking forward to releasing several versions of the game ranging from heavy metal to classical to soul and this versatility ensures that the game will stay on operators' decks for the longest possible time," he concluded.

The game has been localised in to French, Italian, German and Spanish - but not just in terms of language localisation. Each regional version of the title also has music tracks and questions tailored to that specific territory.

Player X plans to launch the game outside Europe in due course, and also owns the license for Beat The Intro in North America and Australasia, with an Asian version also on the cards.
