Mobile media company Player X has signed up Tassos Kazinos as the company's Chief Operating Officer.
Tassos will be responsible for integrating the company's global operations across Europe, Asia and the Americas and joins an experienced management team that encompasses expertise in games, video, finance and mobile.
Tassos has more than 10 years experience in the technology and media industries and prior to joining Player X he was the CEO of Neos Interactive, a software development company providing broadband entrainment services to luxury hotels worldwide.
Before Neos, Tassos co-founded Fish Eye, LLC, an independent film production company in Los Angeles and worked in Boston for Bain & Company, a leading strategy consulting firm. While at Bain, he consulted to private equity, media and telecommunications companies on business strategy and acquisitions.
"I'm delighted to have Tasso on board and he adds further quality to a team that already includes heavyweights such as Nick Alexander, Ynon Kreiz and Adam Valkin. By bringing in somebody from outside the industry who has experience in film and broadband only underlines how far mobile media has come," said Tony Pearce, Player X CEO.
Tassos earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and he is a graduate of the London School of Economics where he received a First Class Honors degree in Industrial and Business Economics.
Player X has continued to expand its mobile games business in 2006 and has also invested heavily in mobile video resources. Earlier this year this effort was recognised when the company was nominated as Best Video Producer at the prestigious Mobile Entertainment Awards.
