PC Answers unveils exciting new look

Computing guide celebrates 150 issues with new look, free gifts and biggest issue ever

22/08/05: PC Answers hits the newsstand later this week unveiling a brand new look for its 150^th issue.

Launched in 1991, PC Answers is the magazine that offers practical solutions for a better PC. Targeting home users, the new look introduces two new sections - a security guide and an upgrade guide.

As the only regularly updated security section found in any computing magazine, the section will offer readers top tips on protecting PCs from viruses, trojan worms, fake emails, spam, spyware and online fraud.

Security is the most consistent problem faced by home PC users and PC Answers will be the number one magazine attacking this growing threat.

The new look PC Answers will also feature a comprehensive upgrade guide - offering consumers buying advice on the best prices, a detailed scoring system for hardware and what to look for when buying a new PC.

The redesign was overseen by Editor Simon Pickstock and Art Editor Alvin Weetman.

Editor Simon Pickstock says:

"We have given PC Answers a fresh new look and made it even easier to find what you are looking for. Our new security section is the only all inclusive security feature in any computing title on the newsstand. As our first redesign in almost three years, we're confident our loyal readers will enjoy the new changes we've made to the magazine."

The October issue of PC Answers is also the biggest issue in over a decade of publishing - the investment in pagination a key driver in the value for money proposition.

Publisher James Binns says:

"Simon and his team have done a great job at delivering a focussed product that really nails the needs of home PC users. We have a program of investment and covermounts that will now drive resampling with the aim of growing share in the next ABC round."

The new look PC Answers, issue 150, goes on sale 25^th August priced £5.99
