Partnertrans Q1 figures reveal success for UK expansion

Localisation specialist Partnertrans has announced selected figures from its first quarter accounts, revealing that the recent expansion into the UK has been a major success for the German company.

Localisation specialist Partnertrans has announced selected figures from its first quarter accounts, revealing that the recent expansion into the UK has been a major success for the German company.

The company recorded a 350 per cent increase in UK business in its year on year figures, with the overall contribution of the UK to its overall turnover rising tenfold from 2.3 per cent to 23 per cent.

Partnertans, which has worked on localisation on more than 500 products since its establishment in 1998, continues to extend its focus on the UK market - having announced in January that it planned to make the region into a priority with the appointment of Vickie Peggs as business manager to oversee its development.

"We are a dominant player in the European market and our projections for expansion have proved to be very realistic," enthused Partnertrans CEO Markus Ludolf. "The UK market is happy to discuss how we can add more leverage to their business. Since we opened the UK office we have been confidently building new relationships; our clients are very impressed with the services that we offer, the speed at which we work and the overall benefit of assimilating with us. We expect to grow considerably over the foreseeable months."

Partnertrans recently finished work on Ubisoft's critically acclaimed first person shooter Far Cry, which became the fastest selling PC DVD title ever in the UK when it was launched here last week. However, the company is keen to emphasise that it is not only interested in working on high profile AAA titles.

"One of our most recently acquired clients specialises in more moderately priced software," explains Ludolf, "and we pay both clients the same level of premium service they deserve."
