Paris Master Classes

Training sessions to be held this June in France's capital.

LYON, France – March 19, 2009 – Established by the Game Connection team, the Paris Master Classes have been designed for professionals in the video game industry who want to develop their skills through training and exchange with recognised experts in different disciplines: production, art, game design, programming and business. On June 25-26, 2009, "Master" experts from around the world will conduct training on the main issues faced by the industry.

"After the success of more than 20 Master Classes organized in 2007 and 2008, Paris Master Classes' goal is to support and reinforce video game industry companies’ strongest assets: their teams!" said Pierre Carde, the Paris Master Classes’ executive Director.

Paris Master Classes are targeted at the heart of the main issues facing the industry. From multicore programming to the gamers’ involvement in game design, the topics are addressed by experts in video game development.

Classes are 7 or 14 hours long (depending on the program) and explore theory supported by case studies. For quality purposes, the working groups are small (no more than 20 participants per master class).

“This training has been a great opportunity for me to share my experience in video game development but also to interact with professionals facing similar issues,” said Christophe Balestra, Co President of Naughty Dog, after was a Master in December 08 presenting: "Create, improve and animate the production pipeline."

Previous Master Classes’ history and practical information for submission are available on the Paris Master Classes website: http://www.parismasterclasses.com
