PapayaMobile launches Gateway To China program

Offers Western developers a one-stop solution to accessing the booming Chinese Android market

PapayaMobile has launched its Gateway To China program, offering Western Android developers easy access to the Chinese mobile market.

There are more than 800 million mobile phones in China, and 50 percent of all smartphones run Android. In addition, virtual goods generate an estimated $4 billion a year in revenue, with mobile an increasingly significant part of that figure.

Gateway To China will provide a full localisation service, distribution to Chinese app stores, PR and marketing campaigns, a built-in virtual currency system, and a range of billing options

“With three years of experience working in China, PapayaMobile has established relationships with key handset manufacturers, app stores, wireless operators and press making Papaya the most widely distributed mobile Social Networking Service in this territory,” said chief executive Si Shen.

“Our goal is to share these relationships with our developers so that they too can monetise the largest mobile market in the world.”

Interested developers should visit the Gateway To China website.
