Northamptonshire-based software firm Oxygen Interactive has appointed two new members to its team, which the company views as the beginning of a rapid growth period.

Former Codemasters staff member Dan Gower has been appointed as external development manager, bringing with him several years experience working on titles including Colin McRae Rally 2005, the TOCA racing series and Club Football 2005.

David Bancroft will head up the newly formed media relations department, utilising his skills and experience gained during his employment with industry powerhouse Electronic Arts.

Oxygen's publishing director Kevin Hassall commented: "With the rapid growth we are experiencing, Dan and David are extremely welcome additions to team. I am looking forward to working closely with them both."

"With the expansion of our product portfolio, the appointments of both Dan and David are key to vital areas of our business. We see their appointments as the first steps in our current wave of recruitment," added Jim Scott, Oxygen CEO.

Founded in 2001, Oxygen Interactive develops, publishes and distributes a selection of software titles for PC and current generation consoles. The company operates under two distinct brands: Oxygen Interactive for full price commercial software and Liquid Games, which focuses on budget software for children, families and casual gamers.
