Over 1 million sign for Free Realms
SOE free-to-play MMO hits milestone in just 17 days
Over one million players have registered for Sony Online Entertainment's Free Realms MMO, just 17 days after the game launched.
To celebrate, the developer is offering in-game items for the free-to-play title, with the one-millionth player also receiving a lifetime membership to the game.
"The excitement surrounding Free Realms, and the positive response the game has already received, is overwhelming," commented John Smedley, president of Sony Online Entertainment.
"To achieve this milestone so rapidly speaks to the quality and the fun gameplay experience Free Realms offers to players of all ages."
A PlayStation 3 version of the game is in development, although no official release date has been set.
