osao - Pixeline and the Jungle Treasure

2D side-scroller that's apparently "bursting with joy".

San Jose, USA  & Aalborg, Denmark - November 8, 2010 - Publisher osao and leading games developer Progressive Media today announced the impending release of Pixeline and the Jungle Treasure for the iOS platforms. Pixeline and the Jungle Treasure is a terrific 2D side-scroller that jumps across surreal, not to mention sometimes-nostalgic worlds to battle a cast of dangers including deadly pits, crumbling ceilings, floating platforms, slippery surfaces, watery graves, evil fur balls, giant spikes, angry plants and much more.

The story is simple and gets you quickly started on your adventure. There are rumors of an ancient treasure hidden deep within a dark and dangerous jungle. Your job is to help Pixeline, game's heroine, to navigate through the jungle in search of gold coins, treasure chests, and discover the mystery of the shape shifting animal spirits that reside within the jungle. The robust game will take you on a quest through twenty-three expertly designed levels and across five unique worlds filled with fun and challenging obstacles.

But don't be fooled by the cute little girl or pretty colors of the game, because underneath the playful exterior lies a very clever and challenging adventure that will suck you in right from the start. The vibrant artistic design and catchy soundtrack provide the perfect backdrop for your gold collecting and evil fur ball stomping fun. The expertly designed levels will keep you coming back, just so you can find out what will happen next in the story.

Every aspect of this game is absolutely bursting with joy. Pixeline and the Jungle Treasure is well-suited for younger gamers as well as experienced players that are passionate about side-scrolling adventures.

"We've worked hard on Pixeline and the Jungle Treasure. The game is both a new entry in the classic side-scrolling genre as well as a game that was designed with the iPhone in mind. You'll love the challenges, quirky characters, and the welcoming story line that is absolutely enjoyable to play. This is an instant classic that belongs alongside the best of the side-scrollers and we're proud to bring it to gamers worldwide," said Thomas Nielsen, CEO of Progressive Media.
