Opera has announced that the Nintendo DS version of its web browser will launch in Japan on July 24th - and that it will come complete with an "additional memory expansion pack."

Opera DS will only be available to buy online at first, priced at 3800 Yen (26 Euro). As previously announced, it will allow DS owners to surf the web using both of the handheld's screens, and input text with the stylus.

Opera has yet to announce a European release date for the new app. However, a senior retail source told GamesIndustry.biz that it's expected to arrive here by the end of the year. The Japanese version, it seems, will work on European DS units.
