Ojom launches Land of the Dead on mobiles

George A Romero's latest chiller comes to handsets worldwide this month

German mobile developer and publisher Ojom has announced the launch of its latest licensed property, a game based on acclaimed director George A Romero's latest horror movie, Land of the Dead.

The game, which follows the lines of classic platform games, sees players attempting to survive in a zombie-infested city by hunting for food and supplies - but despite the grim nature of the subject matter, there's plenty of tongue in cheek humour to lighten things up as well.

Ojom is no stranger to the peculiar marriage of horror and humour, though - the company also launched an adaptation of the hit "zom com" film Shaun Of The Dead last year.

"Despite the game's creepy subject matter of the dead rising from the grave, Land of the Dead is actually really exciting and fun to play," explained Ojom channel manager Marc Buße. "It's perfect for anyone waiting for the bus or travelling home from work on a on the train wanting to unwind by kicking some 'un-dead' butt."
