NVIDIA PARTNERS WITH ESWC TO SUPPORT NEW GENERATION OF GAMERS

NVIDIA To Champion One of the World’s Largest International Gaming Events

LONDON - MARCH 8th, 2005 - NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA), a worldwide leader in graphics and digital media processors, and The Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC) Organising Committee today announced NVIDIA as the title sponsor of the Electronic Sports World Cup 2005. Founded in 2003, the ESWC is one of the most prestigious video game competitions, featuring champions from all over the world. Partnering with ESWC complements the Company's ongoing commitment to the PC gaming community.

"NVIDIA is always looking for new and unique ways to support competitive-level PC gaming," said David Roman, vice president of corporate marketing at NVIDIA. "The ESWC events around the world attract many of each country's best gamers. This year promises to be one of the most exciting years in PC gaming history, with the release of great new games and awesome new hardware on which to play them."

The NVIDIA ESWC will feature over 1,500 tournaments worldwide, in which over 250,000 amateur and professional cyber athletes will compete in qualifying rounds, culminating in over 50 national events featuring many of the very best players in the world.

"The ESWC is the most far-reaching and innovative project in the history of competitive video gaming. We have modelled ourselves on leading traditional international sporting events and mass-audience televised entertainment," said Matthieu Dallon, president and CEO of Ligarena SA, owners of the ESWC. "NVIDIA is the obvious and natural partner for a project such as the ESWC. Our association with NVIDIA is a guarantee of quality, innovation and respect for the players. The ESWC promises the best e-sports experience to date, thanks to the support of NVIDIA."

The NVIDIA ESWC will culminate in the 2005 ESWC Grand Final to be staged in Paris at the Carrousel du Louvre from the 6th to the 10th of July. During the five days of competition, concerts, and parties, 800 champions from the world tour will battle for more than $300,000 in prizes. A dedicated television program, international media agreements and a daily broadcast of the event by satellite and broadband will help ESWC 2005 Grand Final reach a record-breaking audience.
