Nostromo brings Garfield 2 to mobiles

Feline fun launching worldwide in conjunction with movie sequel

Prague-based mobile entertainment developer Nostromo has announced the launch of Garfield 2: Royal Adventure, a new mobile game based on the forthcoming movie sequel, Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties.

The game puts players in the paws of Garfield, the lasagne-loving comic book cat, challenging them to rid a newly inherited mansion of nasty critters so the fat feline can make himself at home.

Gameplay switches between Adventure Mode and Battle Mode, with a range of upgradeable scare tactics to rid the mansion of its unwanted inhabitants. Throughout the nine levels, players can collect codes which, when entered on the game's official website, entitles them to free wallpapers and ringtones.

Aimed at a younger audience, the game has two difficulty levels and has been designed with a non violent approach, players scaring enemies away in "boo battles" rather than inflicting or suffering any real violence.

Available in the US and currently compatible with over 250 handsets, Garfield 2: Royal Adventure will be released in South America, Europe, Asia and the rest of the world in 12 different languages, to coincide with each territory's theatrical launch of the latest Garfield movie.

This is not the first time Nostromo's handled the world's laziest cat, and in fact marks the sixth Garfield title developed by the studio. For further details on the latest game, or to check out Nostromo's catalogue of Java and Symbian products, please visit www.nostromo.cz.
