Nordic Game 2009

Insomniac's Ryan Schneider to talk community.

Ryan Schneider is giving a lecture entitled "Does Community Even Matter?" at this year's conference. Here's a quick Q&A with Ryan on what to expect:

Q: Why should conference delegates attend your session at Nordic Game 2009?

RS: If you’re a developer and not building your own community you are risking industry irrelevance. I’ll be offering fellow and aspiring developers a rare chance to peek behind the Insomniac curtain to see how and why we’ve evolved our fan community during the last five years. We’ll be blunt about our challenges, successes, failures and lessons learned so that other game makers can reap the benefits from managing thei! r own community.

Q: What can we expect? Will any secrets be revealed?

RS: Conference delegates can expect to explore whether growing a fan community is a worthwhile endeavor, how Insomniac went about it, what we learned along the way, how it influenced game content and the production process, and perhaps most important - how you can begin to grow your community today. Maybe we’ll even offer a tidbit or two about our next game.

Don't miss this. Register now and save up to 40% on entrance passes for the conference.
