Nordcurrent acquires Ukrainian developer Blam! Games Studio

Blam! to be re-branded Nordcurrent Odessa

Lithuania-based mobile developer Nordcurrent is expanding its operations into Ukraine with the acquisition of Blam! Games Studio.

Blam! Games Studio currently employs 40 staff and will be re-branded to Nordcurrent Odessa, bringing Nordcurrent's employee count up to 170 across its three sites.

"We are very happy to welcome game developers in Odessa to join our growing team," said Victoria Trofimova, CEO of Nordcurrent.

"We are always on lookout for local and foreign game development talents. We are sure that expanding cultural diversity and creative capacity will help us develop more attractive and engaging games for global audience."

Founded in 2002, Nordcurrent is best known for mobile and PC game Cooking Fever which has over 200 million downloads; according to Sensor Tower, it generated $3 million in March across iOS and Android.
