Nokia to Showcase N-Gage Games at Gen Con Indy 2005
North America’s largest consumer game convention gets a sneak peak of upcoming N-Gage titles
Indianapolis, August 16, 2005 - Nokia today announced their participation in Gen Con Indy 2005, the largest consumer hobby game convention in North America. With more than 25,000 attendees, Gen Con is slated for August 18-21 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. The N-Gage booth will feature games from a variety of genres from simulation to strategy and action adventure. The Gen Con Indy lineup includes: Rifts®: Promise Of PowerTM, Catan, Civilization, ONE, Asphalt: Urban GT 2, Pathway to Glory Ikusa Islands, and High Seize.

Rifts: Promise of Power invites gamers to discover Kevin Siembieda's Rifts® Megaverse® - only on the N-Gage platform! One of the most sought-after licenses, Rifts will make its videogame debut this year. A strategy RPG, Rifts combines an immersive, complex storyline, in-depth character evolution and tactical turn-based combat. Rifts players can battle each other wirelessly over GPRS or participate in co-op modes via Bluetooth.
Catan, based on Klaus Teuber's best selling board game, invites gamers to engage in up to four-person mobile multiplayer gaming via Bluetooth wireless technology in a strategy setting that exercises the brain! In Catan, gamers occupy new lands and develop them into communities by building roads, settlements and cities all while squeezing out your competition. Catan offers a balanced mix of tactic, strategy, interaction, and - of course - luck.
Civilization, Sid Meier's highly acclaimed strategy-simulation masterpiece, comes to the mobile environment for the first time ever on the N-Gage platform. The game is an addictive blend of building, exploration, discovery and conquest. Players match wits against some of the history's greatest leaders as they strive to build the ultimate civilization to stand the test of time.
ONE is a high-quality, 3-D fighting game set in real, underground urban environments. Developed exclusively for the N-Gage platform, ONE extends the fighting game play with cool beat-em-up features, such as extensive character customization and an on-line ranking system. ONE features a soundtrack by well-known games composer and electronica DJ Oscar Araujo.
Asphalt: Urban GT 2 offers gamers a chance to race their dream car. With brand new vehicles, locations, motorbikes, and visual effects, this racing title features improved driving experience and collision effects. Gamers can now compete with three other friends via Bluetooth or shadow race for the high score on the N-Gage Arena.
Follow-up to the critically acclaimed Pathway to Glory, Pathway to Glory Ikusa Islands offers gamers all new missions and maps, as well a voice chat, never seen weapons, and improved graphics. Featuring new AI and a massive voice dialogue, this title recreates the chaotic combat of the World War II Pacific theatre. Players will enjoy intense battle with up to six-player via Hot Seat (swapping one N-Gage), Bluetooth or N-Gage Arena.
Set in the fantasy world inhabited by colonial sea-faring adventurers and blood thirsty pirates, High Seize is a turn-based strategy game with strong storyline, character development and a rich game world. With quick pickup-and-play action, this title includes both-single player and multiplayer gameplay modes up to four players. Gamers can challenge their friends with one N-Gage deck for a rousing Hot Seat game or via Bluetooth and GPRS connection.
