This year's version of the annual Nokia Game mobile phone game tournament clocked up over a million players, with Finnish giant Nokia recording over six million visitors to the Nokia Game homepage.

The game concluded on November 29th, following a ten-day period which saw players presented with a variety of different challenges - including problem solving and arcade-style dexterity tests.

For the first time, the game also rewarded players for working together as a team - a factor with Nokia's VP of marketing services, Pekka Rantala, says turned out to be very important. "We clearly made a connection with the growing number of gamers who want to be able to play not only against their friends and strangers, but also with them," he mused.

The game was available in 10 languages and across 35 different countries, and the winners of the final on November 29th will all receive N-Gage game decks as prizes.
