"There is no silver bullet to win," he told gi.biz, speaking in an in-depth interview which you can [read on the site today]. "I think you have to execute on so many different levels... I think that when you talk about Xbox you've got to talk about the entire program, and so it's not only making sure that you get the hardware right, for us it's also about software."

Kim also discussed a host of other topics related to Microsoft Game Studios, including his views on the role of first-party software in driving the success of a console, the value of Rare to his company, and the chance of Microsoft buying out further developers going forward.
