Nic Garner to head up development at Synergenix

Former mFORMA studio boss joins Kayak's European offices

Mobile publisher Kayak Interactive has announced that Nic Garner, formerly vice president of production and studio head at mFORMA, has been appointed as head of development and production at the firm's European subsidiary, Synergenix.

Garner, who has been working in the mobile industry since 2000, will be directly responsible for overseeing both in-house and third-party development for all of Kayak's European operations.

"We are thrilled to bring Nic on board to drive our development and production in Europe," commented Kayak president and CEO Keith McCurdy. "Our team in Europe has achieved great success in the rapidly moving mobile games sector and we know that Nic's contributions will further position the company to market even stronger, more innovative and popular mobile games in 2006 and beyond."

Prior to joining Kayak, Garner worked as head of studios for mFORMA, where he oversaw the development of titles including Universal Monsters Dracula, Call of Duty and Vir2L Studios' Ducati Extreme.

"Kayak has shown over the past few years that it truly understands the mobile gaming market," Garner commented today.

"The mobile games market is only going to get bigger and more interesting in the next few years," he continued, "and I am very much looking forward to working with such a highly regarded company as the sector continues to explode."
