Randy Pitchford, Steve Nix and Rich Hilleman among speakers

New panels have been announced for the Game::Business::Law Summit 2011 in Dallas later this month, broadening the conference's schedule and expanding on popular topics from last year's event.

The event will feature several notable speakers from the industry discussing various law-related topics. Currently confirmed attendees include Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford, Richard Garriott, EA's executive creative director Rich Hilleman and id Software's Steve Nix.

"Game::Business::Law is unlike any other game conference in that it brings together cutting edge visionaries and thought leaders in the video game and legal fields for real, in-depth conversations on current and emerging business issues," said organiser Dr Peter Raad.

"Whether you're involved in the financial, business development or legal aspects of video games, attendance at this summit is a must."

Newly announced panel subjects include a general state-of-the-industry discussion entitled "What in the heck is going on?", the legal implications of the dawn of digital distribution and a seminar on the correct way to create legally watertight deals and contracts.

Game::Business::Law 2011 takes place 26-27 January, 2011at Southern Methodist University's Dedman School of Law in Dallas, Texas. Full details of the panels and speakers are available on the event's website.
