New Edge and Cocoasoft strike distribution deal

Russian and Slovenian firms join forces

New Edge, a Moscow-based developer and publisher of Java mobile games, has completed an agreement with Slovenian developer Cocoasoft to distribute its software.

The agreement covers the territories of the Russian Federation and the CIS, or Commonwealth of Independent States. The CIS is an alliance of former Soviet Republics comprising Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

The first title released under the deal will be Cocoasoft's Eon The Dragon 3. New Edge has already finished localising the title for Russia. The agreement covers both new releases and titles from Cocoasoft's back catalogue.

Cocoasoft, head quartered in the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana, is the developer of local hits such as 3Dsports: FreeKick Football and Car Racer 1-3. New Edge's portfolio includes S.T.A.B., Sex Express and Axe Click.
