The organisers of the GC Developer Conference, set to take place in Leipzig later this month, have announced that visitors can now see who else is planning to attend by visiting the event website.

The 'Registered Attendees' section of the site shows the name, company and job title of those who are going to Leipzig. Visitors enter their information when registering, on a completely voluntary basis.

The list is designed to help attendees plan their time in Leipzig more effectively, and to build up their contact list. The conference organisers plan to introduce additional online registration features for next year's event.;

"It is nice to see our participants and speakers enjoy annual trips to the GCDC, and that a number of them have become friends out of these events," said project manager Frank Sliwka.

"Face-to-face contact is of great significance, with both trust and emotion playing significant roles in creating business opportunities."

This year's GCDC will take place on August 21 - 23 at the Leipziger Messe. Keynote speeches from the likes of Lionhead's Peter Molyneux and Stormfront Studios' Don Daglow are planned, covering a range of topics including development, business strategies, serious games and mobile entertainment. To register, visit the GCDC website.
