NCsoft Gives Players Their Own Jet Pack For Christmas

European Servers Explode Into Action With An Assault Led By Community Staff

Tuesday 13 December 2005/... City of Villains and City of Heroes players are accustomed to enjoying various modes of transport as they traverse their respective cities, from running at super speed to leaping tall buildings in a single bound. And now, as part of a series of Christmas-themed in-game bonuses, until January 2nd every player in Cryptic's award-winning universe can take to the skies with their own personal jet pack.

The jet pack giveaway is just the start of a season of Christmas cheer. Both heroes and villains can experience unique Christmas missions as part of Operation Holiday Cheer and the nefarious Operation Scrooge. A battle as epic as Christmas itself is on the cards, and players can win special prizes as they fight for the force of good or evil.

Arriving amidst the action will be a mysterious character known only as Gamester. Neither a hero nor a villain, Gamester will be playing pranks on both sides with his Holiday Festival of Fun.

The festivities kick off early for Europe though, as tomorrow (December 14th) NCsoft Europe community staff will lead four separate assaults on each of the European servers. With community favourites such as Bridger, Rockjaw, Midoh and Amboss fighting in Siren's Call, all players are welcome to join in this soon-to-be-legendary conflict. Check the official sites to confirm times and places.

So hurry along to your favourite comic book universe, pick up your own personal jet pack and join in the fight against those horrific do-gooders/villainous criminals.
