Nazara Technologies announces Rounders Poker

Inspired by 1998 film

Mumbai-based mobile game developer Nazara Technologies has announced plans to release Rounders Poker, a new mobile phone game inspired by 1998 film Rounders.

Taking on the role of Mike, played by Matt Damon in the movie, players must enter the world of underground poker and try to defeat Teddy KGB. They will be aided by Worm through bottom dealing and signalling, and will also encounter the characters of Petra, Knish, Grama and Professor Petrovsky.

The game will feature a multiplayer mode for up to seven players, plus options to customise the stakes, chat, send invitations, set up buddy lists and design their own avatars.

"With Rounders Poker we believe we have a strong franchise that will not only appeal to the fans of the movie, but will also provide a captivating poker experience unlike anything that has ever been achieved before on the mobile platform," said Nazara CEO Nitish Mittersain.
