National Recycling Day

Marked by peripherals distributor.

Los Angeles, Calif., (November, 2008) – November 15 has been designated as National Recycling Day by the National Recycling Coalition ( http://www.nrc-recycle.org/americarecycles.aspx). In order to celebrate and participate in the environmentally-conscious cause, Red Lion Interactive, the leading distributor of video game accessories in the country, has implemented several crucial updates to its operation.

Red Lion:

• Recycles video game software and hardware through new buy-back program

• Uses only 100% recycled boxes for all its shipments

• Uses only shredded documents for box filler instead of environmentally hazardous popcorn foam or other similar materials

• Has converted the entire corporate and warehouse facility to energy efficient lighting and uses timers to regulate all its lights

• Uses Fans instead of AC in its facility in order to reduce its CO2 foot print and to save energy

• Uses only computers and monitors that are rated as energy efficient

• Uses recycled or “second hand” office and warehouse equipment

Tom LaVoie, Red Lion’s CEO, stated: “Making a positive contribution to the environment and the community can be achieved by implementing a few basic actions within our operation. Not only do these simple changes help alleviate our impact on the environment, it also helps us to save some money through a few simple adjustments. It’s a win-win situation for everyone.”
