Namco Europe Appoints New Mobile Development Engineer

Web & Mobile Content Division Continues To Grow

June 13th. The rapidly growing Web & Mobile Content division of Namco Europe, today announced the appointment of Gareth Evans to the new role of Mobile Development Engineer.

Gareth has in-depth knowledge of an experience in the mobile games sector. After completing his degree in 2003, Gareth established and ran his own game development studio, creating and releasing a number of games titles for the Windows Smartphone platform.

Gareth's responsibilities at Namco's Web & Mobile Content division encompass a wide range of quality control and post-production services. These include bug tracking and repair, conversion and porting of mobile games, and submission to and compliance with mobile network operators and portals.

Namco's European Web & Mobile Content division has grown rapidly over the past twelve months, with a number of key appointments giving the company a strong and pro-active presence within the European mobile entertainment market in both the Java and i-mode sectors. The company achieved a number of significant results in 2004, including PAC-MAN becoming the highest selling title on a number of European operators, including Vodafone in the United Kingdom.

Jonathan Lister, the Technical Director of Namco Europe's Web & Mobile Content division, said, "Namco has been a driving force in the mobile games market, since it first appeared in Japan in the late 1990's.
