N-Gage Titles Continue To Succeed – Pathway To Glory Wins MEF Mobile Games Award 2005

Espoo, Finland, June 21, 2005 - Nokia continues to reap major awards in the mobile gaming world. The critically acclaimed N-Gage title, Pathway to Glory, won this year's MEF Mobile Games Award. The game, exclusive to the N-Gage platform, was presented with the coveted title at the Mobile Entertainment Forum Awards held in London on 15 June, 2005.

The judging panel of journalists and industry experts praised the game's innovation and determination to push the boundaries of mobile gaming. "The MEF Awards salute the creativity, dynamism and growth of the mobile entertainment industry over the last year," said Patrick Parodi, Chairman of the Mobile Entertainment Forum. "Pathway to Glory's winning status recognises Nokia's commitment to helping drive the mobile games industry forward and acknowledges the profound impact the project is set on the future of mobile gaming."

Pathway to Glory features innovative and unique ways for gamers around the globe to connect, compete, cooperate and communicate in the online multiplayer game mode through the N-Gage Arena. It is a hybrid game of both real-time and turn-based mobile multiplayer strategy that marks a new era in mobile gaming. Packed with innovative features, the game includes the world's first mobile in-game voice communication with the Field Radio feature. This feature enables gamers to send voice messages to each other during the game, creating the effect of a field radio.

Media support for the game has been unanimous with high scoring reviews featuring in key publications around the world.

A follow-up to the award-winning Pathway to Glory game was announced at this year's E3. Pathway to Glory Ikusa Islands is an enhanced continuation of the original game and is expected to be in the stores for the Christmas market.
