N-Gage game publisher workshops open in China and Japan

Nokia offers exclusive insights to publishers in Beijing and Tokyo

London, 14 June 2007 - Nokia will host two game publisher workshops in Beijing and Tokyo on June 12th and June 14th respectively. Key game publishers from China and Japan will join the Nokia N-Gage team to review N-Gage platform details, including the development environment, tools and business ecosystem.

"We're excited to grow our relationships with publishers in China and Japan and give them the opportunity to become deeply familiar with the details of our N-Gage offering," says Gregg Sauter, director of games publishing, Nokia. "The China and APAC regions are full of potential and extremely important to Nokia. The region is also home to a lot of mobile innovation and well established brands that have incredible potential in other parts of the world through the reach of this platform."

The two events will include a series of technical and business presentations that will demonstrate how Nokia uses community, social networking and social media to create a new mobile gaming culture.

Gregg Sauter will give the keynote at the workshops. He will elaborate on the N-Gage business model, its components and the business opportunities that surround it, including the SDK, hardware and technical support.

Nokia will also discuss new distribution models and offer insight into how people can access, try, and buy games on their mobile devices.
