Mystery Case Files: 13th Skull

He had 13 heads. Mystery solved.

22 nd February 2011 – Focus Multimedia, one of the UK’s leading PC games and software publishers, proudly unveils the trailer to the critically acclaimed seventh episode of the award-winning Mystery Case Files® series from Big Fish Games.

Heralded as the game which takes hidden object adventures to the next level, Mystery Case Files: 13 th Skull™ is the latest and undoubtedly the most anticipated hidden object game ever to be released.

13 th Skull is packed full of excitement and puzzles, twists and turns, and, as you would expect, a wealth of captivating mystery – set in the deep south of the U.S. and brought to life with a stunningly reproduced ambient soundtrack.

One of 13 th Skull’s key features is the rich and textured interactive in-game video of characters, ranging from the eccentric to the suspect, with each of the characters playing a key role in immersing the player deep into the heart of the game, as well as possessing important information needed to solve the mystery.

In a recent focus group, one 38 year old who only started playing hidden object games this year, said she was “genuinely overjoyed” to be able to get hands on with 13 th Skull before release. She went on to say, “I love hidden object games! They’re so easy to get started, because I’m not a computer geek, they are easy to play and they’re so addictive!”

The story of Mystery Case Files: 13 th Skull begins after a family move into a rundown mansion in Louisiana. Sara Lawson is struck with tragedy when her husband mysteriously disappears. Sara’s daughter, Magnolia, believes her father was kidnapped by the ghost of a vengeful pirate seeking to protect his lost fortune. With the locals terrified of the pirate’s curse, you are the family’s last hope and this is your biggest mystery yet.

Commenting on the release of 13 th Skull, Alan Wild, PR and marketing manager of Focus Multimedia, said simply, “Men and women, young and old, seasoned gamers and computer novices, master detectives and inquisitive beginners... it doesn’t matter who you are, Mystery Case Files: 13 th Skull is a fantastic game that everyone can play and enjoy.”

Mystery Case Files: 13 th Skull (PC CD-ROM) hits stores across the UK at £10.20 SRP on the 25 th February 2011.
